Nie rzadko moth, but a distinguished looking one. This is Catocala ilia (Erebidae) ((dawniej Noctuidae)), and it feeds on a handful of Oaks. It came into my light over the weekend in Southern Illinois, down in the Trail of Tears State Forest.
