For this issue of the genius of the press, who can tell me what’s wrong with this article?  It’s pretty subtle, but a clear mistake, especially for LiveScience.

    1. That’s not actually what I was looking for, but I would agree that it’s some really bad writing. Clearly that should read “species of hymenoptera and diptera”. So I guess you’re right on that account!

      BUT, there is one other error that is even a bit worse…

    1. Exactly – more basic insect mistakes that I would expect from a lower quality publication. A wasp is not a fly!

      But other than the glaring mistakes, the story behind this is very cool. I will have to now go back and take a look at the Braconids I studied as an undergraduate! I wonder how well these color patterns hold up between species or genera…
